Holography for Wavefront Sensing and Vision

The Holography for Wavefront Sensing & Vision Group is a core part of the Industrial and Engineering Optics (IEO) Centre at TU Dublin. The group was formally established by PI Dr. Kevin Murphy after obtaining a Starting Investigator Research Grant from Science Foundation Ireland (SFI) in 2020 and is based in the FOCAS Research Institute.

We focus on conducting novel applied research in the area of holographic devices and developing photosensitive material technologies with an ambition to see these mature into products which have a beneficial impact on peoples lives and livelihoods. We currently number 5 full-time researchers and are looking to expand our team.

We collaborate closely with other members of the IEO Centre, which has significant crossovers among its research groups. Our researchers benefit from the deep scientific knowledge accumulated in the IEO Centre and from the equipment housed in the FOCAS Research Institute, where we are based.  We have many meaningful collaborations with academic and industry partners, both national and international.
